Riverland Apology Day
This year, our Year 2&3 & 5&6 classes attended Riverland Apology Day, which is a day to remember and recognise the National Apology given to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were taken away from their families by the government as part of past Australian policies. It was an opportunity to acknowledge the importance of healing, understanding, and moving forward by reflecting on past wrongs and showing empathy for those impacted. We thank Sam Mitchell from Riverland ADAC and his team for organising the event and for the time Sam has worked with our staff and students in building understanding.
