Book Week
We have celebrated Book Week this year in true style with a variety of activities held throughout the week- the school has had a real buzz!
We are so fortunate to have a well-resourced and modern library space that students can visit throughout the day. This year we have really focussed on sharing the shortlisted books in classes and given a lot more emphasis on the process behind the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Awards.
My hope for all children is that have the chance to journey to many different places by reading or listening to amazing books.

Playgroup celebrated book week with Dr Seuss’ Cat in the Hat and joined story time with Peter from the Berri library.
Everyone dressed up as their favourite book characters and showed off their efforts in the Book Week Parade. We celebrated Catholic Mission Day- Sock it for poverty- with hand made sock balls by Year 3. And Cindy from the NRM visited F-2 to talk about the curious creatures that live in our own back yard.
All classes contributed to the Book Week Art gallery in the hall creating art works linked to their book studies.
