Principals Report

Ros.jpgDear Parents, Grandparents, Carers and Friends,

Thank you to every member of our beautiful school community for making our very first term so vibrant and happy. I feel privileged to be back at this fabulous school working with the staff and your children every day. May you have a Holy and happy Easter.  Our next school newsletter will be on Friday, April 30.

On Wednesday, March 24, I travelled to St Mark's Cathedral, Port Pirie with our four school senior leader candidates to celebrate the Mass of Holy Oils (Chrism).

We attended the Mass with delegates from the thirteen Port Pirie Diocesan schools and a large group of priests and parishioners from across our diocese.

School Captain, Jack Hunter assisted by reading the Acknowledgement of Country beautifully in the Mass.  This occasion was a chance to meet Bishop Karol and they also caught up with Bishop-Emeritus Greg O'Kelly too.

Nate Vallelonga, Maddison Pitt, Jack Hunter and Aaron Kurian will all receive the oil of Chrism at their Confirmation in September.

Staffing Announcements

Firstly, I’m pleased to announce there will be another addition to the Perre Family.
Mrs Rosemary Perre is expecting her fourth child sometime in September 2021.  Her maternity leave dates are yet to be confirmed. Rosemary and Pat Perre will both be taking parental leave around Term 3 this year.  Please keep Rosie and her unborn in your prayers.

With sadness, Mrs Kimberley Rosenzweig has resigned from her teaching position as the Year 2 classroom teacher as of the end of Term 1, 2021. Her resignation is due to personal reasons, and I will be advertising her position immediately, to find a suitable junior primary teacher replacement in the school holidays. We wish Kimberley well in her new endeavours.
