Sports Report
Hi all,
OLOR has had a big couple of weeks in school sport!
On Friday, March 19th, 7 students made the trip to Adelaide to compete in the South Australian Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association (SACPSSA) Swimming Carnival. We performed very well at the event given our number of competitors was smaller than the other schools. OLOR managed to break the 4x25m Medley Relay record. Additionally, Max Schubert broke both the 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke record. Well done to all competitors!
I would also like to thank both Kelly Storer and Sarah Rothe for being timekeepers on the day. Your help is much appreciated once again.
Last Wednesday, 34 OLOR students travelled to Waikerie to compete in the Riverland SAPSASA Athletics Carnival. I would like to congratulate all competitors for their efforts on the day. We had some fantastic individual results and I was most impressed by the way in which each student represented the school. I would also like to thank all parents who assisted on the day. A special mention goes out to Brad for his efforts at the event.
Our final sporting event for Term 1 is the Riverland SAPSASA District Football/Netball Carnival held next Tuesday, April 6th at Loxton. We wish all competitors the best of luck!
Have a fantastic Easter everyone!
Kind regards,
Thomas Charlton
Year 7 Teacher/Sports Coordinator
