Hi all, 

It has been a big couple of weeks in school sport for Our Lady of the River! 

On Friday 20th August, fourteen OLOR students travelled to Loxton to compete in the SAPSASA Riverland Basketball Carnival. Our boys showed strong competitiveness throughout the day, winning 3 out of their 5 games. The girls made it all the way to the grand final through excellent basketball prowess and teamwork. I would also like to thank both Mel Pfeiler and Meg O’Leary Fletcher for all their help on the day with coaching, scoring and umpiring. 

Congratulations to Nate Vallelonga, Royan Kipkosgei, Jack Hunter, Archie Kent, Slater Marsden, Tatam Hunt, Bella Gates, Miley Mitchell, Gurmanpreet Kaur and Buvnoor Kaur for being selected in their respective Riverland SAPSASA District Soccer teams. All teams competed at West Beach in Adelaide this week over the span of three days. 

Well done to Oliver Sims on his recent selection in the Riverland SAPSASA District Hockey team that competed in Adelaide from Monday 30th August to Wednesday 1st September. Oliver said that it was great experience because of the opportunity to test his skills against some of the best in the state.

Year 6 SAPSASA Soccer

Ruby, Buvnoor and Gurmanpreet took part in the Statewide Year 6 SAPSASA Soccer Carnival in Adelaide this week. All girls featured in the best players and did their part for the Riverland Team. Hope you had a great week girls (results to come).
