Leader of Learning
In my roll of Leader of Learning I have been busy in classrooms this week recording interviews with teachers and students about how the explicit teaching and co-construction of Learning Intentions, Success Criteria, and Bump it Up Walls have positively impacted student learning. The use of these stratagies creates a collaborative culture of learning. Students can use Anchor Charts on the walls to revisit concepts they have been learning. The Learning Intentions tell students what they are learning, and Success Criteria tell students what they need to meet the Learning Intention. A co-constructed Bump It Up Wall provides students with a visual display that explicitly shows what low-level, expected - level and high - level work looks like.
In Week 3, I will be presenting to other Leaders of Learning in our Port Pirie diocese all of the fantastic work we have been delivering.
