Last week Luke Ferguson (Numeracy consultant) and Michelle Webster (literacy consultant) visited OLOR. While Michelle met with Ros and I about Whole School Literacy Progressions, teachers were released to observe Luke teaching Maths in the junior, middle and upper classes. Observing classroom practice makes teaching and learning more visible. It encourages collaboration between colleagues and helps to improve teacher practice – which is great for student learning! A day of observation led to rich professional conversations as a staff about our shared vision in Mathematics.
