SAPSASA Soccer
OLOR competed in the Riverland SAPSASA Soccer Carnival on Friday 16th of June in Renmark. Both our Boys and Girls teams competed well throughout the day. The Girls team won the day outright with Berri Primary as their game resulted in a drawn result. The Boys team were undefeated throughout the day without a goal scored against them. The Boys team missed out on the final by 1 point, however they should be proud of their efforts. Charlize Camilleri-Turner and Harley Martin were named as Best Team Player for girls and boys for the whole tournament. Students who are interested in trying out for the Riverland squad have been given notes and wish students all the best who try out for those teams. Thanks to Gemma Stewart and Kayla Tsorotiotis for coaching and managing the girls. Thanks to Pat Perre for managing the boys team with Mr Canavan.
Riverland Hockey
It has been a tough week for Harley Martin, Charlize Camilleri-Turner and Ocea Vallelonga as they competed in the SAPSASA Hockey at West Beach, Adelaide. The girls' team has been competing well with wins in 4 of their games and one draw with the final day underway. We look forward to hearing more about the competition when the students return next week. The students have been braving some very wintery conditions outside with strong winds, rain and cold temperatures throughout their carnival.
