Year 1 Report
The year one class has had a super busy term full of learning and fun. In Math, we have been learning about plane shapes and solid objects. We loved using our bodies to work together to make shapes and using our iPads to capture where we see shapes in the school yard.
In Science, we have been learning about different materials and how they can change. Our favourite activity was when we used actions of bending, rolling, stretching and twisting to make our own characters out of playdough.
In week 5, we welcomed Miss Westley, a student teacher. She has been teaching us about length, how to write a procedure text and all about different digital technologies. We have loved having her in our class!
We look forward to our excursion with the year 2 students in week 10. We are going to the Loxton Historical Village to learn more about what life was like in the past. In History this term we focused on how families, games and transport were different in the past. It will be great to see all the things we have been learning about and to participate in many olden times activities while we are at the Village.
